What do we stand for?
The short version: Rotterdams.
The longer version: Bim&Beyond is a Rotterdam-based firm, founded in 2014, that is part of Kraaijvanger Architects. Brothers Evert and Herman Kraaijvanger founded Kraaijvanger Architects in 1927. In a carpenter's workshop with an incredible eye for detail and materials. Herman was an architect and Evert an engineer. That combination of architecture and building characterized the firm then and still defines our DNA. During the reconstruction the firm grew rapidly and today Kraaijvanger is a group of three independent companies: Kraaijvanger architects, Bim&Beyond and Plotvis visualizations. We still work with the same mentality: unbridled dreaming and then making it achievable. That's our DNA.
Being green is okay.
But being 'good'is better.
Green. The word of the century. We are green, they are green, everyone is green. Green. It is so easily used: 'Of course, we too are green.' Look how easy that is. But what about being 'good'? What about doing 'good'? Bim&Beyond does not engage in sustainability to do 'green.' We do it because it is 'good.' For Bim&Beyond, a green building is a 'good' building. A beautiful building that is solid, comfortable and elegant. A building that goes beyond the checklist. A 'good' building is not limited to 'green' solutions that are less bad. This is no longer enough. A different way of thinking is now needed. 'Less is more' takes on a new meaning, however, according to Bim&Beyond. No more excessive use of materials but efficient use of scarce resources. But also investing in a good and reusable shell and a building with architectural quality for now and later.
Making a Difference
Bim&Beyond as the first bim engineering firm with B Corp certification. B Corps are companies that meet the highest social and environmental standards for people and planet. Companies that arrange their profit motive to the collective interest of society. We want to make a difference. As a company in the world and for you in your project. Architecture and building is in our DNA. Bim&Beyond stands in the tradition of Kraaijvanger Architects. We work with the same carpenter's instinct as Kraaijvanger since its founding in 1927. Quality down to the last detail, that's what it's all about.
Bim&Beyond understands your language. We know how essential a plan development is according to your ideas. And more importantly, we know how to make this a reality in the final result.
The whole is more than the sum of its parts. Bim is not just for 3D drawing but based on collaboration and information sharing. The cooperation that is part of Bim&Beyond's identity is the real added value to take projects to a higher level and to guarantee and improve quality at all times.
Bim and Beyond does not like cumbersome meetings. A good brainstorm delivers more than several formal meetings.Thick reports look impressive, but if possible, the essence fits on a single sheet.A drawing says more than a thousand words and so does a to-the-point spreadsheet.That makes consultation with the client, user(s) and consultants faster, clearer and more pleasant.
