The TU Delft campus vision calls for a "living campus" that serves all aspects of life. Building X is a hotspot within this vision. The mission of "X" is to "Explore yourself, Expand your playground." Here, students at the Delft University of Technology are literally challenged to broaden their horizons, enabling them to achieve socially relevant innovations in their studies and work. Kraaijvanger Architects created a vibrant building where education, culture, sports, and relaxation come together, fostering cross-pollination. Bim&Beyond provided the contractor Constructif with the design, planning permission, specifications, and construction-ready drawings for the temporary housing of the glass workshop and AWI labs.
