Albert Heijn Venray

Venray

Project

Wavy architecture for a 'supermarket box'

The Albert Heijn in Venray is located on the edge of the city center. It is part of the restructuring area De Gouden Leeuw where a central district with 164 houses has been realized. A supermarket location with three representative facades and therefore a budgetary challenge. The undulating brickwork facade and the sharply detailed eaves are the basis for the appearance of the building. Combined with simple but refined details and materialization in both architecture and terrain, a distinctive supermarket design has been realized within budget together with the construction team contractor.
